Officers Film Their Own Crimes, The Truth Comes Out

Officers film their own crimes, the truth always comes out.

On November 15, 2011 the NYPD entered Occupy Wall Street’s camp at Zuccotti park with the intent to violently disrupt a national movement for equality and peace. Police officers in riot gear arrested more than 100 protesters before destroying most of their belongings.

The day was widely known as one of the worst days for journalist arrests with cops making sure their violent acts would not surface in the public domain by taking away those with cameras. Fortunately for the public, the officers filmed their own crimes, and as we all know, the truth always comes out.

The internet activist group known as ‘Anonymous’ has taken credit for the leak of 60 hours worth of footage captured by the NYPD’s Technical Assistance Research Unit (TARU), though it may have been a single person’s effort. The torrent as well as a description of the leaked videos was posted anonymously to pastebin.org, an information sharing platform utilized by ‘Anonymous’ regularly.

Of course, the NYPD chief spokesperson (propaganda minister) Paul Browne, told Politicker that the footage “was not leaked, and does not show any misconduct by police.”

It was not ‘leaked,’ and does not show any misconduct by police. Contrary to the narrator’s account, there were scores of protesters who took video with no attempts by the police to confiscate it…I saw one protester standing near me who videotaped the same opening scene in the YouTube video of officers sawing a chain that two protesters used to chain themselves to a tree in the park. Further, the west side of Zuccotti Park on Church Street was lined with television news personnel and satellite trucks, many of whom filmed events that night.

The footage speaks for itself, as it shows officers dragging protesters across the ground, hitting at least one man repeatedly in the head with a baton and other obvious violent offences against peaceful protesters. Will the MSM cover this story? If they do, will they spin it to reflect Browne’s statement? Probably so.

Copy and share this information with your friends and family, and show the world how police officers treat political dissidents in “the land of the free.”
