Solstice in the Streets

Once a year, some friends of mine gather in downtown San Francisco and march through the financial district, trying to bring positive energy to a corrupt system.

At the end of our June 20th Solstice in the Streets march, Tavin, a quiet young person who marched with us asked for our attention. Then they (the pronoun Tavin prefers) pulled out their mandolin and played a very short instrumental for us.

On the face of it there’s no good reason for anyone in Oakland to care about natural gas deposits in Ohio.
