According to San Francisco’s County Recorder, Phil Ting, 84% of all foreclosures in this city are illegal. Yet no one has the nerve to stand up to the banks and demand they stop — no one except Occupy. On 17 September, as part of part of Occupy’s one year anniversary celebration, Community Not Commodity entered Sterling Bank and presented their list of demands. After having the demands faxed to the main office, Occupy peacefully left.
