The City of Oakland and the Oakland Police Dept have intensified the war against the African community through the most recent mass closure of several OSD schools, followed by the arrest of several activists who attempted to protest such closure.
On Sunday, July 15 at 4PM the Uhuru House will host a special community forum to address this issue. The community forum will feature Sheilagh “Cat” Brooks, co-founder of ONYX organizing committee and current District 3 School Board candidate.
