The Cruz family of Minneapolis fell behind on their mortgage payments to PNC bank when the economy crashed. The bank refused to accept an online payment, demanding a multiple-month payment instead. And when the Cruz family was unable to oblige, the home went into foreclosure. The Cruz’ were working with a nonprofit to secure a loan when, without warning, the bank evicted them.
